The time that we spend in Wales always passes far too quickly for my liking. It's as though it's home to some sort of magical vortex that speeds up time, then points and laughs at you when it's time to go home.
We're incredibly blessed to have such amazing family in Cardiff, who open their home (and fridge) to us each time we visit. This makes leaving that much more difficult.
The first time visited Wales in February 2013, was a complete blur... Quite literally. We spent a lot of time in the family car being chauffeured through the snowy streets. It was a glorious view of snow covered fields, houses, fences, roads and anything else the snow could find a place to rest upon.

This time around, we were greeted with sunny skies, a cool breeze and a stunning green landscape that was buried last time. Still completely beautiful, just in a different way. And again, we were very well looked after. Too well actually. Completely spoilt with daily adventures, delicious home cooked meals, copious amounts of tea, a warm bed and extraordinary company. The biggest difference this time around was the fact that were weren't on a strict time schedule. We could sit back, relax and smell the grass clippings because we knew that anything we couldn't see on this visit, could just be done next time. You forget how close everything is in Europe and how cheap travel is... It's cheaper for me to travel by coach to Wales than it is to buy a coffee with lunch in London.
Here are a few photos from our most recent trip. Filled with happy memories and physical memories if you're D, who was lucky enough to bring home a sunburnt neck and ears. Congratulations my love. Sunburn in Wales, now that's a first...

It's back to reality now, the holiday is over. It's time to go home and start work... Pretend to be all grown up with a full time job and things like laundry and the milk levels to concern ourselves with.
